Qld: Body of missing father found in weir
BRISBANE, DEC 24 AAP - The body of a missing swimmer has been found in a weir near
Cunnamulla, in Queensland's south-west, police said.
The 38-year-old father of two was reported missing yesterday after he went swimming
in the Alan Tannock Weir about 2pm (AEST).
It is believed he hit his head.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted next week to determine the cause of death,
but police are not treating it as suspicious.
Senior Sergeant Julie Elliott earlier said the man was visiting the outback town with
his children for Christmas.
